For many years, I have been photographing families in their homes. I have been concerned with exploring the relationships between family members, and between the people and their environment, their home. I have been fascinated by the private sphere which the home represents, and by the extent to which each home I have entered constitutes a distinct world. In photographing people within the intimate setting. I have tried to create portraits with a narrative element, a suggestion of a story.
